You’ve probably seen Rae on this site before. It’s hard to keep my camera off her and her beautiful family. Racheal and Kirk and Kiddo are a little dream team! We decided to celebrate Kiddo’s one year birthday with a family portrait session. Kiddo reminded me HE was in charge by throwing every idea out the window in favor of running around in his sweet boots. He’s so gorgeous that my ideas about how to frame things don’t much matter anyhow.

I call Rae ‘wife’ because she really is my other spouse, and vice-versa. We’ve both been tour widows + taken care of each other when Kirk or Damien were out on the road. This summer they’re embarking on a project we’d never even dreamed of - they’re going on tour TOGETHER. If only we could get Racheal and the babe in the van, we’d have our own mobile family. I’m still holding out we’ll win the lotto before tour starts + make it all possible.

Kiddo, my little man, I love you more today than the day you were born. I remember the day I found out you were to be, the overwhelming joy of knowing two of my favorite people were making a person. You turned out pretty amazing, if I do say so myself. Thank you Huffmans for being such a huge part of my life, I don’t know what we’d do without you.
